Note to Kids' Camp Parents,

Our fun-filled "Kids' Camp" offers children, ages 7 to 12 years old, classes in dulcimer, basketry, old time crafts, making instruments and more.  A complete detailed schedule will be sent to you upon registration, but the following information may be helpful.  Children remain with their parents during lunch, from 11:30 - 1:00.  During the afternoon break, from 2:00 - 2:45, they will remain in the KIds' Camp room(s) unless you choose to have them stay with you during that time.  Classes end at 5:00 PM and you will need to pick up your children no later than 5:15.

Kids' Camp and Teen Camp leaders, Anne Zabenco and Joanne Maldini, are certified teachers currently working in the Nelson County School System.  Anne is the senior art teacher at the high school and Joanne is a 5th grade teacher at Boston School.  Both have many years experience working with students and being camp leaders at KMW.

All children MUST show a high level of maturity and be self-sufficient.  Kids' Camp rules dictate that parents are responsible for their children at all times, including any special needs or additional costs incurred for the well-being of their child.  No behavior problems will be tolerated.  This is for the safety of all our children.

Kids' Camp is completely separate from adult classes.  Additional classes have been added for older children or for those with playing experience, still separate from adult classes.  Older children with very advanced playing skills and maturity may participate in adult classes.  We've found that those children in Kids' Camp or Teen Camp develop friendships across the country if they are in the same class schedule.  Activities are planned for both groups during the week.

If you have a question or concern about Kids' Camp classes, please call Nancy Barker at 502-348-5237.  We want your child to have a fulfilling experience as well as a great time!
